How to create a sticky content for your blog

3 Ways to get Noticed When no one Knows You

It is always hard at the beginning.

You go through the process of setting up your WordPress blog. It took you over a week to write your first 5 blog posts. But when you look at your Google Analytics, you haven’t gotten any visitors.

Sure you might have gotten a few visitors from the Facebook Groups that you belong to. Now you’re starting to second guess starting a blog. After all, it’s not as easy as everyone says it is.

The one thing that you need to know about building a successful blog is that it’s a process. Don’t believe that saying “If you build it they will come,” because that will leave you broke and frustrated.

In order to grow your blog, you’re going to have to work hard. You can’t be afraid of doing the legwork and experimenting with different traffic strategies to help you grow your blog.

Here are 3 simple ideas on how to get noticed as a new blogger.

Pick the right Social Media Platforms

By now you’ve read that you need to be everywhere if you want to grow your blog. You don’t want to put all your eggs in one traffic basket.

Yes and No. I do believe that it’s impossible to try to be on all the social media platforms. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t have a presence on the platform.

What I am saying is that you can’t learn how to fully use a platform if you’re trying to learn Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest all at the same time.

Pick 1-2 platforms that your target audience hangs out on and focus on those platforms. Log into them daily to post and interact. Keep learning and implementing different strategies. Do that for at least 6 months and master what works for you, until you move to the next one.

Make it easy for people to share your posts

When you’re just starting out, chances are you won’t get a bunch of shares.

However, you want to make sure that you are using a WordPress plugin that makes it easy for others to share your content.

I use the AddThis plugin to help me get more shares on my blog.

Choosing the right plugin can be the difference between people sharing your content or wishing they could share but it’s too much trouble. If they have to copy and paste links you are giving yourself fewer chances to get social shares.

Use Strong Calls to Action

Make sure that you’re using strong calls to action to let people know what you want them to do next.

Add a direct and simple Call to action at the and of your blog post.

If you don’t tell people what you want them to do, chances are they won’t do anything.

Always be working on the conversions of your blog.

It takes time to learn how to improve your call to actions and increase your conversions. How you end your blog post is almost as important as your headline.
