Back to Blogging-Day 6-Unplug

The moment we wake up we start pressing buttons and typing things or looking at screens. I have seen a video showing how many satellites are working above you every minute of every day.
It is important though, that you find your own way to “unplug” and relax no matter what is going on around you. As stress plays a major role in weakening your immune system and overall well-being. Being calm, content and present are a building foundations of good health.

Today’s task of the 14 Day Challenge is called “Unplug”.
I find myself unplugging regularly regardless what day of the week it is. To a lot of people the unplugging means leaving the office, turning your phone off and possibly turning the TV off, too.

I like going with the flow and even if my phone is on , I am blogging or I am watching Netflix.
It is a daily practice of finding moments of pure calm and silence. The simplest way to fine peace is to be peaceful.

If I want to relax, I will , no matter what is happening around me.No matter what is going on and how much noise my boys are making, playing the video games, talking to trier friends and so on. Here are 3 very simple and easy things, that anyone can do if you want to relax.

back to blogging

1.Stop talking. To me, this one is the easiest and the most effective way to relax.( Not that I don’t like talking, the exact opposite is true) . When you speak you are only saying what you know, but when you start listening you are bound to learn something new. Embrace that and enjoy it. Simply speak less and soon you will notice how much more meaningful your conversations will become. I also find, that my boys hear me better when I don’t say much. 🙂

2.Do something else I like to live as spontaneously as possible, but I also get stuck sometimes in writing, marketing or house work. When I feel stuck in any of these situation the best solution is to do something else. Walking away from whatever  I am doing refreshes my mind and gives me a new prospective. Variety is the spice of life in many shapes and forms and doing different things is a form of relaxation to me.

3.Take a cat nap If you get a chance, use it.It only takes 20 minutes or so. It is a simply relaxing way to feel incredibly refreshed and relaxed. Make sure you are very comfortable. Some say, that a cat nap sometimes can be as beneficial for you as an all night sleep. You will wake up feeling more alert and full of energy. I highly recommend a cat nap, especially now when the days are getting shorter and darker. It is great any time, really.

Thank you very much for being here and reading my blog today.
