A great quote by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon says “Your brand is what people say about you when you are not in the room” .
I read that statement quite some time ago and ever since I read its concept keeps coming back to my mind when I think of branding. Do you agree with it? Should we really care about what people think of your brand? In a sense if you don’t have followers, clients or readers you don’t have a brand.

2.A brand is the idea or image of a specific product or service that consumers connect with, by identifying the name, logo, slogan, or design of the company who owns the idea or image.
3.Put simply, your “brand” is what your prospect thinks of when he or she hears your brand name. It’s everything the public thinks it knows about your name brand offering—both factual and emotional .
Your brand name exists objectively; people can see it. It’s fixed. But your brand exists only in someone’s mind.
I couldn’t agree more with the last sentence. Your brand only exists in someone’s mind. In other words it’s a promise of certain value backed up by emotion. The biggest brands n the world now know that and when they create their logo and a slogan they target your emotions and mind.
