We live in a toxic world.The only way to avoid any toxicity in your life is if you live in a stone or wood house away from electricity , but you still might have to wear a gas mask as there are airplanes flying above us all the time and most crops are poisoned and sprayed from helicopters, so wind caries all sorts of chemicals and toxins.
Being surrounded by some sort of toxicity is a part of living in the 21st century. May be this is what makes me toxic? As I am writing this post I am receiving radiation from the laptop and the wireless Internet, my dishwasher is washing the dishes with some chemicals and I am sitting on a sofa, not made of tree leaves and wood. At the same time I look outside at the blue sky and feel immediate comfort, at any time I can go out on my bare feet on the grass and earth my body, which will eliminate all the radiation and bring calmness again. I can hear some cars in a distance, but at the same time i can feel the wind and hear the tree leaves and some birds singing.
I love the 21st century comforts and feel so grateful and blessed to be living now.To be honest I do not really see myself blogging unless I had the help of all the robots in my kitchen . If i was a mother even 30 years ago I would be doing well to have a typing machine at home ,never mind Internet and laptop sitting comfortably on the sofa.
By simply not focusing so much on what is toxic you are freeing your mind to focus on what feels good.
It makes sense not to buy house hold cleaners if you see that there is label on them saying that is harmful. We are blessed to have the choice in the supermarket unless you want to make some alternatives yourself.
Another big way to avoid toxins is not to put on your skin something, that you would not eat. i have found this amazing website where you can see what is safe to buy and use and by educating yourself you can make a difference in your life.
When it comes to toxins in food you have to be more careful because you are what you eat . Reading labels is a good habit to adopt and sometimes you might not have access to organic fruits and vegetables and just washing them in a water mixed with a bit of apple cider vinegar.
When you are reading the labels there are some extremely toxic substances which you should when possible avoid !!! All these substances are chemicals and have proven record of causing cancer and auto immune diseases.Here is a list with some of the worst toxins, that are being sold by the food and drink industry. It is a sad reality of our toxic life, but once you learn and start avoiding them you will definitely reduce the toxins in your life .
1. Aspartame is widely used in so called “sugar free” and “diet” foods and it’s also known as E951 -Aspartame is a neuro toxin and is carcinogenic.Known to erode intelligence and affect short term memory, the components of this toxic sweetener may lead to a wide variety of ailments including brain tumor, diseases like lymphoma, diabetes, multiple sclerosis,Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue,depression and anxiety attacks, dizziness, headaches,nausea, mental confusion and seizures. Consuming aspartame is a very very bad news and incredibly toxic for your body
2.Mono-sodium Glutamate MSG -MSG is used as a flavour enhancer but also effects the neurological pathways of the brain and disengaged the “I’m full” function which results, for many, in weight gain. MSG is an excito-toxin, and regular consumption may result in depression, disorientation, eye damage, fatigue, headaches, and obesity.
3.Trans fats -Partly hydrogenated oils – mostly found in backed goods, fast foods and biscuits . Trans fat increases LDL cholesterol levels while decreasing HDL (“good”) cholesterol, increases the risk of heart attacks, heart disease and strokes, and contributes to increased inflammation, diabetes and other health problems.
4.Common Food Dyes:Blue #1 and Blue #2,Red #3 and Red #40,Yellow #6 and Yellow, Tartrazine (E133,E124,E110,E102)-Artificial colourings, may contribute to behavioural problems like ADD and ADHD in children and lead to a significant reduction in IQ. Those kind of problems open another door of chemicals prescribed by the medical doctors to cure the disorder , which is a complete and utter waste of time and only breeds sick humans, that are dependant on drugs . Avoid them .
5.BHA and BHT-E320-used as a preservative in potato chips, gum, cereal, enriched rice, shortening, candy, jelly -This common preservative keeps foods from changing color, changing flavor or becoming rancid. Effects the neurological system of the brain, alters behaviour and has potential to cause cancer. BHA and BHT are oxidants which form cancer-causing reactive compounds in your body.
6.Sulphur Dioxide–E220-used as a preservative in beers,soft drinks, dried fruit, juices,cordials, wine, vinegar, and potato products-Sulphur additives are toxic. Adverse reactions include:bronchial problems, asthma, hypo tension, flushing tingling sensations or anaphylactic shock. It destroys vitamins B1 and E in the body. Not recommended for consumption by children.
7.Potassium Bromate (E924) used to increase volume in bread-Potassium bromate is known to cause cancer in animals.Even small amounts in bread can create problems for humans.
Those are just some of the toxic substances in your food. Do your best to consume whole foods and read all the labels-in most cases if you can not read or pronounce the ingredient is very likely to be toxic .
There is one more ingredient in our life that can contribute to our toxicity. And that is feeling low and stressed. When you are in a low state your immune system is using its resources to keep you awake and it is quite tiring to be depressed and worried. By saying that I do not mean that you have to smile 24/7 or be positive. The most important part of life is to be yourself . When you are being yourself you reflect that and that shines on people around you. Just be You!
