Today is day two of my raw vegan detox and I am feeling the purity of the food with every meal . I feel incredibly grounded and calm. Its amazing .Besides in order to detox I have to keep my body in relaxed state anyway, so that helps. I also made a quick video where I am sharing with you how to manage to drink 3 litres of liquid .
By drinking plenty of water you are allowing your body to detox.There is nothing in this world , that can replace water , but if you like herbal teas , here are some of my favourite ones, that will gently help and stimulate your body during detox.
On a personal level I have all of these in my tea cupboard and I love them all.
1.Ginger and Lemon –warming , Vitamin C and lots of antioxidants
2.Chamomile tea-calming source of antioxidants . It is also good in the care of digestive ailments. It is antispasmodic and anti-inflammatory.
3.Nettle-also good as a tonic, regardless of its strong flavour nettle is very good for removing caffeinated beverages from your diet
4.Rosehip-my favorite detox tea is high in vitamin C and antioxidants, is known to be a natural healing cleanser, and is great herb to boost the immune system. The herb is known for preventing bladder infection and in easing dizziness and headaches.
5.Organic aniseed, fennel & cardamom tea-I am a big fan of this tea blend , sold by an amazing company called Pukka. I love their philosophy and enjoy every tea blend, that they have made. This particular one is designed as a a unique blend of cleansing herbs with fantastic detoxifying properties.
So there you have teas to enjoy when you are feeling like something else than water. Drinking fresh juices is also another amazing way to nourish your body and give it some amazing minerals and vitamins. I love juicing and having a fresh juice is one of the best ways to be healthy.
Here are a few recipes of a juices , that will really give a boost and the combinations are highly enjoyable.
Pineapple and beetroot
2 medium size beetroots
1 large pineapple
Beetroot, cucumber and carrot
Ginger , melon and apple
2 cm. slice ginger root
1 fresh lemon
6 carrots with tops
1 seeded apple
